The Republic of Ecuador is a mainstay for Pan-American Life in the South America Region.
Pan-American Life was launched in Ecuador in October 1956 when the company began to operate both in Guayaquil and Quito. In 1984, Pan-American Life moved its headquarters to Quito where it started offering individual insurance policies. In 1950, the company began to offer life and health group insurance, both in Ecuador and the rest of Latin America.
Committed to offering its clients improved personal and financial performance,
the company expanded by purchasing two office floors in the Mansión Blanca Building
in Quito in 1995. At the same time, it established the only automated risk-assessment system in Latin America. In 2004, the company purchased its own offices in the Torres del Norte Building in Guayaquil.
By the year 2000, Pan-American Life converted the whole group and individual services portfolio into U.S. dollars, thus allowing recovery of the value lost through depreciation. In that same year, the company opened a new agency in Manta, continuing its mission to protect Ecuadorian families above all else.
Since its beginnings, Pan-American Life Ecuador has stood out as a pioneer and a leader in the individual insurance market, offering one of the largest investment portfolios in the country, creating savings and working capital for thousands of Ecuadorians.
