
As one of the largest and oldest markets of Pan-American Life Insurance Group, Panama has become a fountain of knowledge and experience for its neighboring partners having more than 40% of the clients in Latin America insured by the company.
Since its opening in 1912, Pan-American Life Insurance de Panamá, S.A. has offered individual life and individual and group health insurance products. The most important factor in the sales of individual life insurance has been the marketing of universal life products that are flexible and varied. At the same time, the company offers one of the best products of group insurance in the market thanks to its adaptability and to the custom design created to meet the needs of the clients.
Nowadays, the market is designed for medium and large businesses; nonetheless, Pan-American Life of Panamá also offers individual plans that were developed as an option to convert clients that already have group plans.
Among its accomplishments, Pan-American Life of Panamá distinguished itself for being one of the first insurance companies to manage the health benefit plans for the retired employees of the Panama Canal from 1990 to 2000 and for being the pioneer of networks of medical providers (hospitals, physicians, and laboratories) in the country since 1990.
